Site Level Data Quality
Identifying Data Quality Errors at the Global or Group Level

The Data Quality section allows users to easily identify any errors or mistakes that might negatively affect the quality of data uploaded into Maalka. At the Global or Group level, all sites are listed with data categories organized by type: Energy, Water, and Site. You can see details about each site's data within a category by selecting the corresponding button for each site.

Note: Currently, rules cannot be set for emissions, transportation, waste, or weather, so these types do not appear in the Data Quality tab. To learn how to set Data Quality rules, click here.

The color of the icons in these buttons indicates whether or not there is an error present in at least one of the data sets associated with each category. Red indicates that there is an error, while blue indicates there are no errors.

All data sets within the selected category will appear after clicking on the button. In the right column, you can easily see if a data set has any errors by checking for a "Fail" message. If you would like to see more details about which data quality checks are failing, you can hover over the exclamation icon. For an explanation of these rules, see the Data Quality Rules Definitions page.

The buttons next to each account allow you to view the data associated with it. In order to correct any issues with the data, you will have to update the spreadsheet you imported, and reimport into Maalka.

Identifying Data Quality Errors at the Site Level

In the Benchmark Compliance Status tab, under Data Quality, you can easily identify any errors or mistakes that might compromise the quality of data imported into Maalka.  If you do not know how to locate specific sites within your program, see the article on Locating Sites.

Any errors that may compromise your Energy, Water, or Site data are listed here in table form. In some cases there may be quite a few items in this list, so you can use the filters to narrow down the results.

Note: Currently, rules cannot be set for emissions, transportation, waste, or weather, so these types do not appear in the Data Quality tab. To learn how to set Data Quality rules, click here.

Use this table as a reference to correct any errors that may be present in the data you have imported from the Maalka Templates or Energy Star Portfolio Manager. You will need to re-import the data back into Maalka when you are finished.
